Our support staff work within a teams-based framework, with each team specialising in a cornerstone of disability support.
Staff in this team are highly trained in safe manual handling techniques and the use of assistive technology needed to support people who have a physical impairment. Staff in this team hold a Certificate III in Individual Support and a Certificate IV in Disability. Many of this team also have qualifications in Nursing, Community Services and Social Sciences.
This team focuses on supporting participants with complex mental health needs and intellectual disabilities. Staff are specialised in the areas of Positive Behaviour Support, crisis prevention and emotional regulation. Our team is also registered to safely implement and report on Restrictive Practices. The respite and emergency response team specialises in providing highly flexible care when you need Short Term Accommodation or an emergency response. They are a mobile team, travelling around Australia (including rural areas) to provide temporary support whilst your long-term housing solutions are being identified.
This team works with you to plan activities and explore opportunities for community involvement. Their role also includes working with you to understand how our support can help you achieve your goals. This team monitors your fortnightly reports, monthly progress notes and quarterly goal monitoring plans to ensure that our support is constantly evolving to meet your needs.
Each team is supported by a Registered Nurse who provides expertise in medication management, clinical care and behavioural supports.
With assistance from National Disability Services, we undertake comprehensive training and development to ensure we are providing you with up to date, evidence based support. Focus areas for our training include crisis prevention, emergency response and supporting vulnerable clients.
